The Path to Your Growth Starts with Your Why

Updated: Mar 31, 2023

Hello there!

At the gym this morning, during the hardest part of the workout, the coach called out, “For this next 500m row, think about your ‘why’!. Why did you get up at 5:30 to get to this class today? Is it to live your best life with your kids? Is it to have the energy to pour into something new? Or is it just for you? Whatever that is, block all other thoughts of discomfort and let your why drive you to finish strong!”. That got me pumped.

In 2017, I had two boys under age 3, worked full time and managed my household, but not as well as I would have liked to. I was just keeping things moving day to day but there was no brain space for anything else. Personal growth, investing in my marriage, relishing time with my boys, free time, house projects, spiritual development, time with dear friends, growing a community – these things were not happening. I knew that I wanted more. How could I ever have time for any of that?

Here we are today and I have mental space for all those things and more - like starting a business and sharing what I’ve learned in my process.

In this space, we will solve problems and build and rebuild systems that change with you in each season SO THAT you begin to see that you can live a life that isn’t constantly overwhelmed or disorganized or just keeping up. You can rock the day to day and make time for bigger thinking and intentional action for <INSERT YOUR WHY HERE>.

Understanding your personal why will drive you when roadblocks come up or when it's easier to take breaks. One step at a time, one problem at a time, you will see the value of taking action.

Maybe you aren’t sure of your why just yet but you know what’s happening now isn’t serving you well. Stick around – together let’s do some practical work to solve problems and learn how to do better, while we challenge each other, encourage each other and look to level up. We will dig into defining your why so it can be used to pump you up too!
